There are 2 used superchips 3815 for sale on e-bay cheap.one is biding at $84.00 but is vin locked,and there is another one going for $275.00.I got one just now for $275.00 new.just thought i'd let y'all know. check em out......

what exactly does vin locked mean? does that mean it wont work another vechicle? is there a way to crack it? im definantly interested though.

yes it means it is locked for that truck. superchips can unlock it for you though. it cost $100 for them to unlock it

 

When you use it to load a program into your truck it "locks" itself to your VIN and can't be used on anything else till you return the truck to stock with it. Superchips can send you a download to unlock it but you have to pay them to do it, I think it's around $80 but don't quote me on that figure.

get the vin locked one, 184 for a sc aint bad.

 

I talked to scott about that one and the other problem is that if there is any problems with it you will have to pay for repair becasue you are not the original buyer. Was enough to convince me to just buy a new one so you know it is covered.

 

ehhh if the one that i got wasn't there i'd go for the $275.00 one

 

$84 for the locked on is a pretty good deal since it would total $184 to have a usable programmer. But $275 is too high, if you look through the classifieds of this and other forums you can find them much cheaper.
