any small block chevy engine: 283, 327, 305, 350. so long as the s-10 comes with a 4.3. otherwise its changing motor mounts and stuff. i was considering the v-8 upgrade on my bravada til i found the 98 tahoe. as stated before the tranny will bolt up to the v-8 from the 4.3 as long as its the 700R4 automatic. personally, if id do the swap id put a th350 automatic behind the v-8.

its kinda like putting a small cam in. you get more lift and duration. stock on the 5.9 is 1.6 flat tappet rockers. so you also get the benefit of less resistance with a roller. its definitly not as good as doing a full cam swap, but the gains can surely be felt. i am guessing around 25hp through the entire rpm range.

install is pretty easy. just use plenty of assembley lube to keep the spacers in when installing. let me see if i can find the install link page. found it here it is.

and here is another upgrade. not as good as the other 2,but still pretty decent.

but if you donnt have the superchip 3815 that is the best bang for the buck in my opinion. it has been my best single performance mod to date. but all mods tend to help each other.
i had the hypertech max energy and the jet chip stage 2, and the superchip is better than both. i only use the performance tune and run 93 octane.

no, i have the non adjustables. part#s70037. i got mine from summit. it took about 4 hrs for the install. if i was to do it again i could do it in 3hrs. you can reuse the valve cover gaskets, but i didnt. i got new mopar ones. i also left my coil wire off and cranked the motor over till i seen oil coming out the top of them. so i wouldnt have a dry start. i also changed my oil after i ran them for about 5 miles. not really necessary to change the oil but i was just about due anyways. it will take the computer a couple hundred miles to fully learn the rockers.
