A Few Things I've Noticed So Far...
I just got this truck, and have noticed a few things (other than the tire issues i've been having) I dont know if these things are normal, so I was just wondering what you all think.
-after i shut it off, i can hear a hissing sound coming from the passenger side engine compartment, i am not sure if it is something leaking or some sort of blow off valve. i dont think it does it when it is running, just right after I shut it off, and it does it for about 20-30 seconds
-when it is cold (this morning it was about 35) it doesnt want to shift into the higher gears, it runs about 2300 at 65, after a few miles it shifts up
-sometimes the left headlight wont work, then i turn it off, and back on, and it works
I am just wondering if i should be worried about any of this stuff, especially the trans shifting...
thanks in advance

no, not today i was running pretty late. i was hoping that was all it was, but it still seems weird that it is that picky, it wasnt that cold out..
As far as the headlight thing goes, maybe your truck was just sleepy and and didnt have both headlights 'open'... hehehe
Seriously though, thats not normal. Does your lamp out indicator ding like crazy when the headlight goes out?
BTW, nice truck...

Now we need to work on his hissing problem.
I know, your truck is part snake lol.
Seriously, the hiss could be the A/C compressor. But if it's cold out and you're not using AC it will also run on defrost to remove moisture from the air.

All pretty normal, except for the headlight issue. My 300C and the truck both "hiss" a bit after shut-down. It's the flux capacitor discharging. The computer keeps some transmission functions suppressed 'til it's warmed up properly.
