Hemi engine ticking Question ????
So everybody is content with the fact their brand new trucks tick??? I just bought my truck with 26,000 miles and it ticks. What can be done to fix this? I guess I've never heard of a newer motor "ticking" before, it's usually something prevalent on motors with high mileage. All I know is that it really bothers me. I paid a lot of money to get into my Ram, hoping to at least be happy that it was noise free.
I guess I'm just confused why everybody is content that their engines all tick. I guess what I'm wondering is that the dealership I bought the truck from isn't going to be able to fix this tick. I didn't really notice it, but both my dad and brother noticed it independently. It's kind of annoying, spent all this money on this fancy truck, yet it has a noise, just like my other ram did.
That will probably be useless. I bought my truck through a used car dealership, they probably won't even know how to work on a dodge. My 2,000 mile/2month bumper to bumper is with them. My 78,000/7 year warranty is with anybody I want, but I have to pay a $100 deductible. I'll probably get stuck having to get it fixed under my watch.

I have always used 1 qt. of RISLONE engine treatment in place of 1 qt. of oil. A friend of mine had a Ford Ranger that you would have sworn had a collapsed lifter with the noise it was making, one quart of RISLONE and left it run for 20 minutes and the noise was gone. That had to be well over 5 years ago and his vehicle is still running strong without any noise.
