Default Hemi engine ticking Question ????

I just bought a 2008 ram 5.7 hemi and it does not tick at all , but it only has 600 miles on the motor , is this not enough miles for it to start ticking or are there any lucky ones out there that theirs don't even tick at all.

HPI sucks!!! Team Associated followed by Ofna is the way to go

I have done lots of reading about the Hemi tick. Some people do get lucky and it never appears. Some people swear by Mopar oil filters with the special valve prevents it. Some people say its a clearance issue inside the valve guides in the head. Who knows...

I have 50k on mine and it ticks...barely.

That's nothing! You should hear my wife's Wrangler 4.0 with only 38k, it sounds like a diesel.

Chrysler engines are notorious for being noisy IMHO

I think mine has it at 24K miles, but not sure. Is it a high pitch type ticking, Or does it sound like typical lifter ticking?

mine is a very light sound, similar to a tick from a valve.
