Default Anyone have the Firestone Ride Rite Kit?

I am having trouble with the Firestone ride rite air bag helper springs. I ordered the 2286 kit for my 04 1500 2wd quad cab. When I got the parts, and tried to install them, they did not fit. On summitracing.com the pictured item for 2286 is NOT what comes in the package. I have completely different upper and lower brackets than what is pictured.

Anyone ever have this problem or am I crazy? I doubt I'm crazy as I spent about an hour trying to install this thing onto my truck and I new it would not fit because of the wrong parts.

Check out the pics of what I got, and the pics of what is shown on summitracing.com. Notice how the upper and lower brackets are completely different.

These are the instructions that are on summitracing.com for the 2286 model. COMPLETELY DIFFERENT than what I got in the 2286 package!

This is the kit I NEED.

sounds like you need to package it up, and send it back if your confident that this is not the right kit. Looks like a good kit though huh?

If you can return it, I would do so. I had an interest in one, when I approached a good friend with an small auto tire/repair chain about ordering me a set, he said that all the ones he's sold had problems with either the rubber bags dry rotting or bracket hardware breaking. He suggested the Air Lift bags. I had never heard of them at the time, but trusted his advice. After almost three years, mine are still in perfect condition...

It does look like a really good kit, the quality looks good. But something I did not tell you guys is that this is the 3rd one I get and they were all wrong!

First one I ordered on streetsideauto.com and once I tried to install them and noticed they were the wrong parts, I sent it back. I told them to make sure next time that I got the right parts.

So I got the second one and as soon as I opened the box, I noticed I had gotten the same exact wrong parts. So I returned it and got a refund.

Third time I ordered from summitracing.com because they said I would get the parts as pictured. I even asked, is the picture the ACTUAL PRODUCT, and they said "YES". Opened the box today excited to finally get the right parts. And what do you know. SAME CRAP.

Now we are gonna wait till Monday to talk with firestone and find out the problem with the mislabeled parts.

Looks like they updated the kit. The brackets are shaped a bit different and the got rid of the hook things but it installs the bags in the same place just with fewer parts. The part numbers are probably the same but they are still using the old photo. I lined up the photos side by side and it looks like the parts you have will work just fine.
