What would a good suspension lift cost? I want the truck to be leveled out and lifted about 2-3 inches. Also, what does it cost to have those running boards that slide back up underneath the truck. One more thing on the lift, I dont want it pointed up in the air when i pull my boat that probably weighs between 2750-3500 lbs. thanks for the help

Hammer can school you on the lift. Add a set of airbags for towing so the truck doesn't sag. As for the power running boards, The Mopar ones cost big $.

Lifts are anywhere from $1000 up depending on what you want. Airbags will help with the towing. And I've seen the retractable steps for around $1000 as well, though I've been told that if they take a hit, they break fairly easily, but I'm not sure about that.

 

i looked into those and they are really expensive, that is why i went with the cheap alternative Nerf Bars

 

Too expensive to risk damaging them if you go offroad.

Suspension lifts will start in the $1200 dollar range for a 4" lift. Personally I like the Rancho, I think it's by far the most solid of the 4" kits, but pricey at about $1600, and will also level the truck at that height.

You won't need air bags with that boat, I had a Javelin 20' Bass Boat with a 175 HP motor on it for 8 years and pulled it with three lifted trucks, the tongue weight is not near enough to require bags. Judging from the boat I had that I weighed once on truck scales, I bet you'll find that yours is closer to 2200-2400 lbs.: Boat, motor and trailer without gear...

 

thats close to my weight with no gear, but my boat is heavier than most, and you dont understand how much gear i have in the boat.

 

nice boat and a lvl would be fine even if your towing a 3000 lb boat your tongue wait is only like 300-400lbs
