Default New guy here

Howdy all. New to the Dodge Forum. Just bought the wife a new 2008 Electric Blue Pearl Quad Cab Hemi Sport.

Already bought her a stainless steel bull bar for the front, and an Airaid CAI. Waiting for them to arrive for her next week.

Gonna have the local muffler shop dual out the exhaust on Friday.

Her last Ram had a 50 series Flowmaster with dual rear exits with three inch resonator tips (stainless steel). That's what I plan on doing. Anyone here using the MBRP dual rear exit exhaust? Looked pretty good, and for 380 bucks, seems quite the steal.

I just hope she likes it as much as her last Ram. I cannot see why not. Maybe now she'll get off my butt about owning a Corvette!!

Welcome to DF. Only thing id do different on the exhaust would be dump the flowmaster. They are restrictive to hemis. I personally run a magnaflow but there are a few other GOOD mufflers for our motors.

I'd personally go with Flowmaster. You do lose some power, but the sound more than makes up for it. I don't think I could give mine up, I love the deep rumble of it.
Hope your wife likes the truck, post up some pictures for us sometime soon.

To compare cost, sound and performance, id say Magnaflow. However, corsa, gibson and a few others are very good and sound nice. It boils down to a personal preference thing. I found the best value in Magnaflow myself.

I think the Aero Turbine mufflers are the best sounding ones out there for the Hemi. But, I may be a bit partial.

The lady at the local muffler shop said Flowmaster has a newly designed muffler, the resonance is nowhere near as bad as the older ones.

Have to ask her about a Magnaflow. Now, most of you guys kept the factory resonator and put the muffler on behind it, correct?
