Hey new to the forum and I have a question. I have a 2007 Dodge Ram 5.7 HEMI and I want to know which programmer is the best to use, and that is simple to use. I just put on dual exhaust (magna flow 40 series) and after that the truck falls on its face. At 35 mphs it shifts to high gear and jst runs like crap. I was told it could be the MDS and that if i bought a programmer that i could turn the MDS off among other things, like performance and things. If anyone has any info on these issues I would GREATLY appreciate it.

Yes you can turn off the MDS with a programmer. I think the majority is using the Superchips Programer.

I have the SC programmer with MDS turned off. What a difference ! There have been previous mentions of the Predator blowing trannys so I would shy away from that model.

you have a an 07 so you could also use the Edge programmer it is very cool and comes with a dash pod so that it stays hooked up all the time. there is a thread allready started talking about it. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/3rd-gen...rogrammer.html

If I had an 07 I would go for the Edge but that is just bc I like that it has a dash pod and all the stuff you can monitor while you drive. Otherwise I would go with SC.

I read that you can't turn off the MDS with the Edge.
Anyone know if that's true? That was the OP's reason for wanting one.
