Default What size tires will fit and work?

I have the 2003 Quad 4x4 package tow package SLT Hemi. The stock tires are 17/275-70. I am not planning on lifting my truck. I drive 95% of the time on AZ highways - so noise is an issue. However, the 5% of the time I'm off road I'd like to be able to get in and out of my Ashfork land Norht of Phoenix.

The Goodyear 305s look cool but I've heard they're very noisy and really do not do that well. Discount Tire offers Nitto Terra Grappler AT - LT295/70R17D1 121R B (40254) at about $172.00 dollars per tire including stem, balance and Discount's awesome repair warranty.

I know I'm fruggle (that's cheap to y'all). What to do?

well I don't know about which type of tires to get.... it will be hard to find something that is good at both off road, and have little road noise. (although I'm sure there is something).

I can help you with the tire size issue since I just went through this. If you have a 1500 then you should be able to fit 305's on stock suspension. If you have a 2500 then you should be able to run 315's.

I have 305's on my 2002 1500 and I am very happy with them. They look good.

Mine is a 1500 but it had 175s as stock because of the off-road group. I've looked at both 305s and 315s. My Aluminum wheels are 8" so maybe the 315s would be too much.

tommiwan - could you attach a picture of your truck? It's hard to see the small picture at the left.
