Update to my stalling problem
Hey guys. I started a post about my 04 dodge ram 5.7 stalling after I replaced my EGR.
https://dodgeforum.com/forum/3rd-gen...ll-stalls.html
Well I finally took it in to the dealer and it turns out it was stalling cause of a loose fitting transmission filter and o-ring I had changed some 2000+ miles before. They changed it to their filter. Well $150 later and some 4000 miles later now, ( I put alot of miles on my truck) it's still running fine and not stalling anymore. The idle is actually alittle higher now.
They said they see this alot, a pinch o-ring on that filter that pushes in, but this wasn't pinch, but it was loose allowing a air leak and when everything got warm, it would expand to make a bettr seal. I'll be getting my transmission filters from the dealer from now on.
Thought I'd share what the fix was, to hopefully guild the next person looking for answers to why their truck is stalling.
