Default Stereo Receiver Installation Help!!!

Alright, I purchased the Pioneer DEH 2100IB a while back and am now in the process of installing it. Everything is going fine except Im not sure how to go about connecting the wires. According to Crutchfield, they said I needed this Chrysler Interface
http://www.crutchfield.com/p_120SVI6...e.html?tp=3486
and so i got it. What do i do next. I think I need to crimp some wires but I suck at electrical work. Can some one help me? thanks

Here is what they look like http://www.wiringproducts.com/index1.html?lang=en-us&target=d47.html&gclid=CJ38m7KIppkCFQwNGgodrhU3q A
red should be what you need. Here is how to use them http://answers.yahoo.com/question/in...0213843AAgBtMi
I did my wiring with butt connectors, crimping/stripping tool, and some electrical tape. Most of it is just matching up the color of and stripes on the wires from your receiver to the harness. If that smaller plug doesn't fit in your harness and you have the right harness just hook it up with what you have and test it before reassembling your dash. If you have the crutchfield install guide see if it says something about the smaller plug.

ok, i see. its like an alternative to crimping the wires and twisting them together and then using electrical tape to wrap them together.
the only thing crutchfield said was something about hooking up the 12 volt power source
should i just match the colors from the pioneer's stereo harness to the wires on the Chrysler interface and not worry about extending and splicing the yellow wire into a 12 volt power source
there will be some extra wires on both sides that wont match each other. do i just leave the alone?

The yellow wire should splice into the harness which will be plugged in and hooked up so you should be good there. The blue wire is typically your signal wire for amps if you have them and almost everything else should match up. I'm not sure about red and orange wires off the interface though, but all of the wires off the harness have what they are written on them so you should be able to read and/or match by color.
