I had a 1987 Mustang GT with only a few mods and was running in the 13's in the 1/4. Your facts are skewed and no 5000lb truck with only 15 more HP is going to beat or come close to beating a Mustang GT of any year.. PERIOD!

As far as styling, well, that's completely subjective. If you don't like the looks, so be it. I own a 1973 Mach 1 and a 1998 GT for the record.
Where are you getting the Ram only has 15hp more than a Mustang???LMAO The Ram has 345hp???? You cannot compare RWHP to FWHP. 2 diff things. Anyways, the mid mustangs are the SAME as the early 90's as far as engine output. Just a few minor styling changes and maybe, just maybe 15hp increase over those years. i mean c'mon they had even the early 90's Cobra's with only 15 more HP than the GT's. Anyways, BONE stock mustangs, all of them up until 1999 ran mid 14's to lower 15's in the 1/4mi. You cannot compare a 13.9 run you may have done because you installed gears. I am very informed upon mustangs, building them and their power capabilities.
Did you know that Doge Rams with a few minor mods can reash in the mid 13's too??????? That's beating the majority of the old mustangs out there. All of them before 1999 when they jumped to 260hp and except the SVO of course.
Your 1998 GT will run high 14's if your lucky and low-mid 15's all day long. It's merely a 210hp rag bucket. that's why I pulled out that Pathetic SOHC and installed the 32v DOHC Cobra motor.

LXman.........The Mark VIII's are only 280hp. They are 25hp shy of the 96-98 Cobra's because of their camshafts. Besides they are all cast internals and not forged. Not even the crankshaft like the late 90's Cobra's. This limits their power capabilities to 400rwhp safely.

Early 90's cobras? There's more than one? Only Cobra in the early 90's was a '93, the last year of the fox body. Although the 5.0 motor was carried until '95. There are only 2 mustang cobras I would want to own one is an '93 and the other is an '04.

Join Sea Shephard, they're more aggressive and they have a jolly roger-esque logo
Plus Cpt. Watson kinda reminds me of Cpt. Ahab but an advocate for sea life not the harbinger of death...

That's not true. Ford had produced the cobra 93-99, 01-04. There wasn't one for 2000. In 03 there was even a tenth anniversary edition cobra.
