Default Throttle Body Flow Data

Has anyone done any tests on any of the modified throttle bodies vs a stock TB? And can anyone explain the difference in flow that a TB with a taper vs one with a straight bore vs a TB with a multi angle port job would be.

Thanks.......

Maybe some of the "experts" will respond. Be interesting what the flow figures are.

You might want to email Dan at http://thefastman.com/ since he ports them he can give you more info. I know that every review I have seen on the forums of ported TB's claimed better throttle response, and a few had better ET's.

I got a modified Hemi tb from Dan and it gave me a nice improvement in throttle response. It is very noticable in day to day driving. I haven't had a chance to make any real timed runs with it yet to see what if any changes it made to my et's though.

What did you spend for your TB? Where did you get it? I am watching one on ebay for for my 5.9 it cost $385.95 it is a 52mm made by Holley is that to high? Would you recommend doing this mod? Sorry for all of the questions. I am in the middle of ordering and doing a lot of upgrades to my truck. Thanks in advance

I didn't buy it, my wife got it for me. I think it was around $175. It came from Dan (The Fastman), he bought a new tb for my truck from the dealer and then ported it out for me. If you are going to get a tb for your 5.9, I would recommend going with the fastman. He makes a a very nice product and it costs only $225 after returning your core. I had one of Dan's tb's on my on my old 2nd gen and it made a big improvement.

Thanks for the info. I have checked out his website. I will probably contact him Monday to place an order. I wonder what kind of gains I would get with the new TB, Flashpaq, CAI and Dual Exhaust. I think I might actually get a truck that is really fun to drive . Thak again for the advice.
