Only when you take it off to reduce the weight. To the OP, drive slow (eewwww), light acceleration. The e-fan is easy to install, but I'm not sure what mileage improvement you'd get.

I have heard that using a tuner to cut the MDS off has increased peoples highway mileage, This time i'm not kidding.

catback system will also help a touch, Underdrive pulley's, CAI, ported TB, E-fan of course, 180 t-stat. All of these will work together to not only increase power, But will buy you extra MPG's...

BTW, A moped gets as much as 60mpg, And its not a hybrid.

E-fan=electric fan, check the FAQ section for info on the install, airram.com and moesperformance sell them. CAI is really a wash since they all perform about the same. I like mine which is a spectre from airram.com b/c it was cheaper than most and works well. The spectre is a mopar/AEM clone and there are a couple knockoffs even cheaper on ebay and sites like carpartswholesale.com, I think it's called velocity on that site. Have fun modding your truck.

Open your hood, Look at the fan that pulls air through your radiator, Notice that it is driven by the water pump pulley. Well an e-fan replaces that with a electic fan so there is no drag on the engine.

That is so stupid he is asking a legit question. I believe he knows its a truck and it gets bad gas mileage what is so wrong with you people thinking you cant ask how to get better mpg's do you like paying more money than you have to or are you just stupid enough to not get the best possible out of something. That is a retarded response to a simple question you can get crap mileage while someone tries to maximize their's even tho it still wont be great.
