The piping from your factory y-pipe going to the muffler should already be 3 inch pipe.

I have yet to see someone use 'em here, but there is a company called Mac exhaust from temecula that I've seen good performance numbers on mustangs running them. Here; http://www.macperformance.com/about.cfm
Here's the cat back they offer; http://www.macperformance.com/store/...roduct_ID=1094

You don't have to order one. Most autoparts stores carry Cherry Bomb.

It's a slip fit. You also need the offset in/out because of the bastardized muffler that comes stock.

Lxman, thought you of all people would've heard about Mac, the best sounding 5.0 mustang I've ever heard was my buddies '91, he was running the Mac off-road H and mufflers... my high school buddy got the system from the owner of Mac for my friend in the navy, I guess it was on an '04 for about 15 minutes when they decided too loud to be on a supercharged motor.

My buddy down the street has them. Mine flows better and has a more unique sound. Mac's are just chambered mufflers like Flowmasters. They do flow better than Flowmasters, but not as good as Magnaflows. We both have 2.5" offroad H-pipes and tailpipes.

Flowmaster = about 200cfm
MAC = about 320cfm
Magnaflow = about 400cfm.

Here is a clip of my Magnaflows. It runs a little rich and has over 163K hard miles on it, but runs stronger than ever!! It doesn't smoke near as much now. I had a 94 T-bird MAF sensor and it made it run too rich.

Default exhaust for 07 Ram hemi

Hi I have a totally stock 07 ram hemi that I want to start with the exhaust. Looking for advise on what is the best way to go. I want a good sound, but not so load that its not desirable in the cab on long runs, It will be a traveler pulling a travel trailer. I have been looking at Flow master, Magna flow and areo turbine. Appreciate the help!

Flowmasters... I had a Super 44 for about 6 months, it was horrible. Yeah, it's loud, and it makes a good noise when you put your foot in it, but the rest of the time it's raspy, makes a miserable drone, and chokes power. Replaced it with a Cherry Bomb Extreme, and I'm very happy with it. Great noise, no drone, and I could feel the power difference after getting rid of the rustmaster.

After reading the comments, I am going to yank my Flowmaster super 40 out. I have never been too happy with it and know I have been convinced.

I'm considering the Magnaflow. I have not looked into it, but I was wondering if they have differnt models like Flowmaster does. If they do, what do you fellas recomend?
