Default Brake question

Do I need to bleed my brakes if I am just changing my rotors and pads? I have read a lot and looked at the internet and everybody has a different opinion. Some say yes and some say no.

No, just pop the cap on the reservoir.

I don't think you have to but it won't hurt anything if you wanted to to be on the safe side.

You only need to bleed if you have gotten air in the system. Bleeding is to purge the air. So if you are just pushing the piston back in the caliper to make room for the pads then you do not need to. As RebelTillDeath3 said, just pop the top to make room for fluid you are pushing backwards.

Make sure you have a big C-clamp handy to push the pistons back in.
