Default Shock Advice - 2002 RAM 4x4

Hello,

I just purchased a 2002 Ram 4.7 4x4 quad cab. I have the newer body style. It has 180000 miles with stock shocks . Recently, I was a victim of a Minnesota pot hole which broke one of the leaves in the leaf spring. I had a tough time finding springs for it, I was told the truck is an "off year". Luckly, the local wrecker had a set off an '02 4x4 that had only 17,000 miles!

Anyway. After doing some searching on the fourms. It seems like Bilstein's are heavly recommended. I mainly drive on the highway, but some of our roads can be considered off road . Don't tow any heavy loads. I use KYB's on all of my cars and have had great luck with them. They also make a monotube for Rams. However, truckspring.com has buy 3 get 1 free on Bilsteins so I am sold.

Bilstein's website lists both F4-B46-2130-H0 and F4-BE5-2550-H1 for the rear. They also list a few different types for the front. Truckspring.com's recommendations don't match Bilstein's. So I am confused.

What should I order for all 4? Any other recommendations for a dealer to buy the shocks from?

Thanks in advance,

~Leo

Shockwarehouse.com

There are only two brands of shocks I would ever buy, Rancho's or Bilstein's, period...
