i ran into a bit of a problem. the front diff hangs low enough to get the stock springs out but not low enough to fit the new springs in. looks like the control arms are contacting their mounting brackets and stopping the diff from going lower. and even with all my hercules like strength i couldnt compress the springs by hand

i didnt want to add this step in because most trucks dont need it but all trucks have diff tollerances. if you are doing it by yourself, mark the cam alignment bolt on the lower control arms and rotate it to allow the diff to move a bit more then when its sitting on the tires again line up your marks and then tighten it. if you have someone to help. put a six foot pry bar(or comparible in a possition to pry the diff down a bit.

I dont have any experience with the tough country lift kits for the dodges but i have put a tough country in a 2006 hummer H3 and it was a really solid looking kit. my experience is limited but one of our suppliers have said the tough countrys break when wheeling at all( allthough they thought they may be thinking of rough country which i have seen) I have also seen a bds braket crack but not really bad and under harsh conditions, i really like the bds because there is no trouble at all if something does break(even if a shock blows out) I cant really say yes or no on the tough country but i can say that the bds kit and all of them i have done have been great, the one tough country wasnt to bad also. The one thing i notice about the tough country is it uses a heim joint at one end which will not give as good of a ride on the road. So the choice is all up to you. I dont think you will have a problem with either one but like i said i only have dodge longarm experience with the bds and can vouch that it is a Very nice kit.

re reading the instructions you posted, i forgot to unbolt the draglink. this might be holding the diff a bit. hopefully unhooking it works.
