Krc 218 cam?
Hey, have any of you guys had any experience with the KRC 218 cam for the Hemi? the website says I need gears to keep the EGT's down, I was planning on putting in 4.56's in a week or two and a set pacesetter long tubes. Sound like a good combo? Also, don't know how many of you are from Colorado, but do any of you know of any good shops in the denver area to do the cam install and/or do the tuning required? Thanks guys.

I sent DodgeNitto to 4 Wheel Parts in Denver for his gears, they will come at you with a high price, but they will come down if you do your homework and haggle, they price match.
They did a great job for him.
If you are a QC 4x4, I'd recommend the KRC210, lower over-all HP, but much better low end torque. For a RC or 2WD the 218 is good. You'll need springs, retainers, pushrods and a tune (or at least a piggyback) to tame it. It is a fantastic cam, it is NOT however, a plug and play cam...

I wasn't sure if they'd do the cam install along with the gears. How much did they charge to install your gears? But if I get the cam installed there am I gonna have to tow it somewhere to get it tuned? And im from kremmling. going to school in boulder now but id hardly call that home lol. kremmling has some awesome fourwheeling. gotta love the rocky mountains!
