Default More truck issues... any advice?

Okay, after the transmission was repaired (replaced solenoid pack in tranny) I've driven the truck about 300 miles. Two days ago when leaving my neighborhood I was making a soft right turn which also starts up a small hill/incline as the turn is being made. There is a stop sign there, so the turn to the right and the climb up the hill both are simultaneous. I noticed two days ago that there is almost a stall - acted like it was in a higher gear - so I backed off the pedal for a second and then went again and all was fine. Then this morning it did the same thing. I stayed in the pedal (no more/less) and all the sudden it down-shifted and left a little of my tire rubber on the pavement. I had started my truck early this morning and let it warm for about 10 minutes before leaving for work. Any ideas on this?

Second thing is that yesterday I was making a right turn and the blinker wouldn't disengage after I had straightened up out of the turn. I moved it back to neutral and the blinker light in the dash just kept on blinking. I moved the blinker switch back on to the right and then off again... blinker still going. I did it one more time and then it finally disengaged. It has only happened one time so far and that was yesterday. Any thoughts?

Third is that I appear to have a leak in the driver's side door seal. When driving in town in the rain, I had two big drops of water come thru and land on my left leg. I opened the door and inspected, but didn't see anything that looked abnormal. I noticed another drop accumulating afterwards, so it is definitely getting thru somewhere.

I really like this truck, but MAN there sure seems to be a lot of issues. I have 2,300 miles on it now.

Sorry to hear about all that. I've been there. Be sure and take it to the dealer so all of these problems will be documented. I don't know if there is a lemon law in your state, but sounds like you are well on your way to finding out. In my experience you have to have a lawyer to get Dodge (or any manufacturer) to take you seriously. Good luck and I hope it all works out for the best.

I agree, I have a recently purchased 08 with nearly 11K miles on it now and the only issue has been a leak in the rear window which I found in less than 2 weeks after owning it.

Well, while I was out and about for lunch today I dropped by the dealership (1/4-mile from where I work) and discussed this with the service manager. I mentioned the transmission behavior and he said I would just have to bring the truck in and let them diagnose - fair enough. Then I described the issue with the blinker and he immediately responded that he knew what the problem is - and is likely related to the tranmission issues as well. Apparently they just received a bulletin today (a recall maybe?) that there is an issue with a module (not sure of the spelling, but the pronounciation is "tippin") that will have to be replaced. It has been exhibiting mostly when 4WD is in use. Apparently the dash board lights up like a Christmas tree in some cases, so he said. He said this could very likely be the source of both issues I reported. I was so surprised that I forgot to mention the leaking door...

Anyway... I'm taking it in Tuesday for another diagnosis.

And yes, everything is being well documented.

Thanks,
Mark

Good to hear that you may have found the problem. I'm kind of curious to see what it is because I have an 08 with 7500 miles on it.

Is there information online regarding recalls/bulletins? I've searched, but haven't found anything that looks like a legitimate source.

Okay, I've got a bit more info on this recall... maybe some of you already knew about it - if not, you might want to check into it:

Modification: Rapid Response #08-102 TIPM Replacement / NV246 Transfer Case Shift Motor Diagnosis

I'm scheduled for the shop on Tuesday, so hopefully will have this resolved then.
