I would like to point out that the average going rate for a 2004 full size half ton pickup where I am is about $20,000CAD with 100,000km or more.

Do you have a passport? Anywhere in america would be cheaper...even after travel expenses.

I am 18. I do not have a passport. It looks like there are some deals in Vancouver but even then it is expensive to travel down there. Gas is 99 cents a litre here. That works out to 4 Bucks a gallon. I am in Northern British Columbia and it is a solid 15 hours to the American border. Gas gets more expensive the further south you travel in BC as well.

and you should be slapped silly for even considering any Toyota! Buy anything BUT a Toyota. I got put in an 09 Extended Cab with 4WD when I wrecked my Ram and that had to be the biggest piece of crap I ever drove. I drove my Ram after I wrecked it home and it still drove better than the Tundra. No it wasn't the big block V8 just the over all size and handling was the worse ever. The only thing it had going for it was there was tons of cubby and storage holes everywhere .

I ended up taking it back after a week with about 20% less tread on the tires though. Amazing what a little Armour All and pavement does

Yeah i really lucked out with my truck. I bought it when gas peaked last summer, was about $3.80 a gallon. Dealerships werent giving people jack for their trade ins. We were selling the hell outta the cars though. I figured why not. So $7500 later and Ive been a RAM fan since!

Agreed, Toyota today is NOT the Toyota of 10-15 years ago. American plants, American middle management, American workers. Sad, but true, our work force labor is a nightmare anymore.

I've got two friends with Tundra's, an '07 and an '08 and both have been nightmares for them. One guy had his diff blow up at 8k miles and the other one had his cam literally come apart and destroy the engine at 11k miles. The guy with the dead engine has been waiting about three months now to get his truck back...
