Default 5.9L upgrades

I am looking to do a little work to my motor. I have so far been told that these mods would be good to do. I dont want to break open the motor just yet. I am looking for "bolt on" upgrades

Headers -I live in GA and we do have emission what can i use and still pass
e-fan~moe's performance
52mm TB~Fastman
intake manifold
superchips~SC.com
4.56 gears~local 4x4 shop

Am i missing anything?

You have a pretty good list there. Try checking out the guys in the 2nd gen section, they've been modding the 5.2L & 5.9L for alot years and have alot good info.

Where are you in Ga. where you have an inspection? I lived in north Ga. for three years and south Ga. for eleven up until a little over 2 years ago and never had to go through one.

I had a '98 Second Gen and modded it somewhat. Mid length headers, tru-dual, CAI, body lift for the most part. I wish I'da kept it now, not instead of my Hemi, by any means, but for a project truck. I'da loved to try to Stroke it myself!!!

Ok, maybe that didn't come out just right. Let's change that to:
"I would have loved to try to install a Stroker Kit on my own"...

How about some hs 1.7rr's. They are basically a bolt on mod for your engine, you don't have to go deep into the engine to install them.

I live about 20 miles north of Hotlanta. I believe that every county in the metro area has emissions inspection

i would suggest the r/t aluminum heads with the 1.7rr's, they have them on jegs.com.

also dont forget to check the plenum to make sure oil isnt leakin into the intake manifold.

what type of intake manifold are you looking at? ive been wanting a new one but i really dont want to have to switch over to a carburetor, have you found an efi aftermarket intake manifold? i would be very interested!
