Truck Tool Box
I'm a Lowe's manager. Kobalt boxes are made by Better Built, they just don't write that on the box. Kobalt is just a store brand name. Nothing is really made by Kobalt. It's just a name, like Craftsman, Husky, etc. Hell most of the store brand hand tools are really made by the same damn parent company in the same damn factories.
I've got the slimline Kobalt box that only takes up like 12" of the bed. I also got the no-drill clamps to mount it. In retrospect, anyone with a set of hex wrenches could take the whole box off if they were so inclined. But no one would know that if they didn't look under the rail. It's working pretty well and was very inexpensive. It helps to be a manager I guess. :-)

I had a Kobalt slim line in my old s10, the handle on the left that opens the box broke and the one on the left would not move...I had the box bolted to my bed so i could not open it or get it off, i went to lowes with the original box it came in and told them what happend, the guy hand my a pry bar and says lets get it off. We ended up destroying the box and they gave me a new one for free (it had a lifetime warrenty). This is why i got the low pro Kobalt box for my ram cuz i know if it falls apart they will give me a new one.
I have no complains about the low pro box other than the latches and they are not that big of a deal (sometimes when you close the box only one latch will catch.
