yea, it's weird that it throws a code. I don't get why that cylinder, why the secondary coil..etc. makes me want to put my engineering hat on and get my hands on that code just to see what's up.

i obviously prefer SC, but the predator is not a bad tuner at all. you got a few people messing with the custom trans settings blowing their trans, might not even be the predator's fault.

but i do agree, a much smaller population of SC owners have problems, and the problems they have tend to be smaller ones. and SC gets on top of it and solves it (sry severe, don't matter what you say, SC's customer service has been top notch lately).

theres this guy on dt that had his pcm fried bc he accidentally started it during the install of the tune. got a new pcm then loaded the pred tune fine. two later he throws two codes and they found out is tranny is shot. blew 4th if i can remember....

 

Might be a coincedence...might not. Trannies go out on stock tunes...maybe his tranny was weak and the added power/line pressure sent it over? If he pays as much attention to maintenance as he does to installing tunes that could very well be the problem.

Look i'm not here to defend diablo but this site has been very bias lately for the SC...I mean it even has it's own stickie at the top of the stickes no less. People should know there's another option...right now new users are signing up and only seeing SC stuff. That's the only reason i'm bringing up the predator at all.

Diablo has had an opportunity to also have a thread, but has chosen NOT to respond. Judging from their attitudes with paying customers I've witnessed on other sites, I'm kinda glad.
Another reason I chose to give Superchips a "sticky" is because if you check the FAQ section you'll see that well over 50% of ALL members who participated have a SC tuner vs. only about 14% who own a Diablo...
