quick airbag application question
Anyone know what the difference is on airbag kits from 01-04? there are 2 different part numbers, and theres a smokin deal on CL for some off a 01 1500. tryin to figure out if i can make them work or not...hard to find info on it becuase most websites just show a generic pic, not pics of the actual specific kits.
towing. i have a boat i tow in the summer with the bed loaded down with gear so i want to level it out.
$70 does seem like a good price if they fit

dunno, but if it's a great deal and the fit ain't perfect, I'm sure you can fab something up to make 'em go. I mean the brackets are pretty basic, maybe you'd have to go get different U bolts or something. Prolly worth a shot...
I paid $225 shi0pped for a brand new set with the airlines, brackets, hardware.
If you think it may be worth making some sorta bracket to save the money go ahead, just be aware you may need to buy additional air lines or fittings. You may put more time and money than it's worth??? I could have went used, but i chose to go new, install took only 1hr and was well worth it. i know my bags have never been bottomed or and internally damaged and infact do hold air! Just think of all that stuff before you buy. The last thing you want is Airbag damage. The Air lift kits for all models before 2001 are diff from 02+. They have diff brackets and hardware and appear to have a double bag from Airlift which offers a single bag to the 02+ here's a pic of what the '01-prior brackets look like http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Air-L...spagenameZWD1V
Now here's a set for the 02+ http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Air-L...spagenameZWD1V
Completely diff.
Now i have an Arnott airlift set-up which utilizes the double stacked bag design. You could make the older bags work the way mine are designed but it's gonna be a PIA to get the same hardware makde up. I mean the hardware i got was like 1/4" thick and all pre-bent with notches and grooves...etc.
i think it's easier to spend the $225 on Brand new bags. They come right to your door, no driving 20+min to go get them. Just my thoughts.
