Default Serpentine whine

I've been a Hemi owner for a grand total of a month. I have always been Chevy through and through so I only know a few characteristics of these motors.

Is serpentine whine one of them? I haven't really taken the time to see if it's an idler or something else that's making all the racket.

It's the same noise a power steering pump makes, except it's constant. No chirp, barks, grinding, or anything like that.

It's just a constant whine.

you sure the power steering pump isn't going out? no, belt whine is not "normal". get some belt dress, might be all you need.

Haha, that's what it sounds like.

I didn't know if it was normal with these motors or not.

All of the SBC's I've had in the past were dead silent. I know almost every foreign motor is noisy as hell and figured these motors fell in that category.

I was alos going to suggest some belt dressing or with the engine running rub a dry bar of soap on the underside of the belt to add some temp friction to it and see if thats resolves it.
