performance without the cost!!!
MOST MODS APPLY TO A 4.7L RAM
INTAKE:
procarparts.com has intakes for 4.7 ram.its a universal intake tube with rechargablefilter.
EXHAUST:
all you need is a performance muffler i.e. flowmaster, magnaflow etc. and about 2-3 ft. of 3" diameter exhaust tubing.
since the stock muffler is almost twice the size as a performance muffler it should be cut out.the muffler should be mounted near the stock hangers.next weld the tubing to the cat and muffler.the buy an exhaust tip to finish off the look.any exhaust shop can do this for less than half the cost of a cat back system.all stock tubing is 3" diameter which is the same as a cat back.
a dual system isnt the greates for a 4.7l becuase there wouldnt be enough backpressure created.by using a dual system the performance gains wont be felt until you reach the 90+ mph or 6000rpm range.
+rpm
LOWERING:
2 inch coils and 4 inch flip kit work for any 2wd ram.anything more and the frame would have to notched.but if thats what you want...
front shocks dont need to be changed but rear do.
most places offer buy 3 get 1 free or a deal on all 4.
superchips has a performance programmer that tunes and can read and clear diagnostic trouble codes.(just like the dealers)
2002 RAM QC 4.7L
INTAKE KIT
FLOWMASTER EXHAUST
WESTERN CHASSIS 2/4 DROP
DEUTCSH TECH SHOCKS
