Default Lift and tires

I have a 2006 Dodge Ram 4 door 4x4 with 20 inch rims and a Hemi and I want to put Bigger tires on her and I was thinking about a lift kit from reading it seems like a 2 inch level would be good but I want to put 35s on it would it clear and if not what else would I need to do to get them on and clearing. Thanks Matty

a level kit will rub 35's a bit at full turn, you need a suspension lift or a body lift to trully run 35's without rubbing

A 3 inch body should be fine. That should come with a 5" front torsion key. Instead of the 2" leveling kit... Unless the 06 have a different front suspension then I think they do...

again RH hit the nail on the head, he's learning! Maybe I can retire before too long!!!

Your '06 has a coil over front end. a set of inexpensive coil spacers combined with a 3" body lift will cost you about $1000 less than a suspension lift and is perfectly fine unless you are an avid off-roader...

Is Hammer not a pro at every topic on here?

Yes, we just put $50 spacers up front (I have 3") but you will need new shocks despite everyone saying you wont. They are cheap, just do it! And a $25 1" block on the back will level it out perfectly. I did 1.5" and it has the raked look but thats what I wanted.

35's will fit without rubbing, you have to trim just a tiny bit of plastic with a razor or jigsaw. Remember that your stock tires are 33" and 2" TALLER is not a problem, its the width issue. If you can find skinnier tires OR put $100 spacers in, then you will be fine on that issue.

I pretty much researched the cheap way to do all of this. I apologize all of you, its just hard to spend 25K on a truck and then 5K in mods while in school. The cheap way is never the most correct way, so just remember that if you ever want to go any bigger it will be cheaper to fork out in the beginning.
