so 2000mcd or what?

 

The brightest I have found was 55000mcd. I bought a pack of 30 off ebay.

 

55000? Are you sure? I got hyper-white high intensity or something, there is no way they are near that? they must be as big a round as a dime

 

I wish I had a camera that would give a good enough detailed close up pic so I could post it but my cams wont do it. But yes they are 55k.

 

55k?! holy crap. that is one bright MF! i found 5mm LEDs with 13k mcd, and 3mm with 10k.

 

These that I have are 5mm. I havent lit any of them yet as I have been working on too many other things but it is coming soon.

 

i'm wondering if it was just a typo on ebay. what voltage are they?

 

well I don't think it is a typo because that's what they were advertised as and that is what they are labeled as but who knows for sure with todays quality assurance and checks.

 

no thats not true! the hightest mcd the make for the 5mm size is 28,500. and thats a fact! i got 10,000 and it almost lit up the whole thing. so the 28,000s off the net are the best thing im pretty sure. but you can get like 250,000mcd in the 10mm sizes!! (if the 5mms arent bright enough )
