yeah they would work good. last time i used brakes and low gears i ended up scratching my bumper when the guy decided to drive under my truck

My first line of defense is to just turn the headlights on. Some people get fooled when they see the running lights go on and think you are braking. Then they back off a little.

My dad used to carry, and i think still does, a military style hitch. What are those called? um... pindle hitch.. hang on... .googling...

I thought it was Pintle. The one where the hook goes into the clamp?

Yes thats the type. I looked up 'pindle', and it came up with no correction. Could be either or. You say tomato, I say tomato... that doesnt work very well on paper.

Also for your reverse lights, change them out with some white LEDs. LEDs brightness is measuresd in 'mcd' so the higher the number the brighter the LEDs. I have aftermarket LEDs (3057 isnt it??) in mine and they are much more bright than the stock bulbs.
