Ohh! Almost forgot to tell you!

You need a computer module to plug in between the harness and the old plug in. I needed it, might not be required for anything under 2006 models, but it was $150 extra I was not planning on. If your radio stays on after the keys are out/door closed then you need it.

yeah, i think you need one of these if you have the 7 speaker system with the built in amplifier

its 50% off if you buy a $129 HU from them

i only needed this one

they are basically switched power converters so you dont have to splice into your 12Volt outlet for power and they make your radio work just like stock

Cannot keep the sirius. you need the sirius control box that's match with the new headunit you buy.
I have an '08 with the 4speaker system. I bought a navigation bezel right from the dealership for $130. I did not buy the Canbus adapter because I ran amps and new speakers..yadayada
I tapped into the lighter socket to the left. I think the wire was white with an orange stripe. that's the power for the stereo.

Ohh, I have the Pioneer Avic-f90bt. Luv it

Yea well you have to have that module for 06 up trucks...They say it is only to keep the radio on when the key is out/door open and without it supposedly the door chime doesnt work. I tried it without the module and it wouldnt work.

You can get a receiver for sirius (Seperately) and a module for steering wheel controls (mine came with it) so just look on crutchfield, they are plug and play.

By the way, that orange/white wire is Ill/Dim and you really dont use it

Funny you mention the Sirius receivers that are PnP and sold seperately. Ive recently watch two receivers for Pioneers HU sell new for less than $20 each with shipping included.

As for the orange illumination wire, I agree, I never use mine.

Great... thanks for all the help on this.. the local car audo shop said they can use the attena i just need to get a tuner and an adapter to hook the sirius to the new head unit. Sirius said they can move the subscription to the new tuner so that may work out.

Any feedback on one unit better than another? the frontrunner right now for me is the kenwood DNX8120...
