Default Ugh What Should I Do?

I'm getting a little frustrated since I wanted to get some angel eyes for my headlights, the guy first wanted $579 for the headlights (he wanted 157 for each headlight, 200 for the angel eyes kit, 150 for the install of them, and 65 for tinting the headlights). There is no way I am paying half a grand for headlights so I got stock headlights for under 100 bucks which 2 weeks to do and now i e-mailed him and he said it would be 200 for the kit plus 150 install plus 225 for the HID kit (which at no point he told me I had to buy an HID kit, I assumed the HID kit came with the angle eyes kit) so thats a total of 575 which didn't get the price much lower (only $4) than what i thought it was before. I have no idea what i should do. Should I just get the angel eyes kit for 200 and install myself (hopefully this comes with directions) and then my friend says he can get an HID kit for under 100? Any info is helpful.

Thanks

im getting the angel eyes kit from unique coatings, I'm trying to figure out a way around the high prices but it seems like its not working, the total for the headlights if I didn't get my own would have been like 700 or 800 something, thats ridiculous. The HID's are from unique coating too and they go for 225 but my friend says he can get a kit for under 100

Hey, Angel eyes and new headlights are expensive, ive been looking around lately and have been seeing like 600$ for a pair of headlights with angel eyes in.. and thats without the HIDs.. I found this site where a guy shows how to make your own angel eyes so i decided that im gonna try that, it doesnt look that hard and anyone can do something if you put your mind to it and are carefull right. And $225 is good for HID kits, I bought a $100 for my last truck off craigslist and they didnt work for long, and my brother bought a $300 dollar kit off ebay and they have been working for a few years now.. They both looked the same, its just you get what you pay for right!! If you wanna do it cheap, then go buy the supplies and try and make your own eyes, do a buncha them and then use the ones that look the best, put them on your headlights and itll save so alot of money, then if you wanna do the HIDS to buy a kit and put it in yourself.. itll cost you less then half of what a whole new light setup costs or what that guy wants to do it, thats my .02 man.. here the site...

I was just giong to say raiderjay. Ask him, he seems to be the headlight specialist. I do know one thing though, Twiggy is going to be your safest best as far as getting things done right. Hes done a few others on this forum, tons on DT, and im almost positive he did raiderjay's. raider, dont hold me to it! heres a link. When I become a millionaire, twiggy will do mine.

If this isnt what your looking for, google him. HID's by TWIGGY. thats how I found him.

yeah i originally talked to jay when i wanted to go about this whole headlight thing and he recommended unique coatings and i began e-mailing them back in mid march but this whole thing is just going to cost a little too much for me ($575 + return shipping is what Chad at unique coatings just e-mailed me to say) so I may just buy their angel eyes kit and do it myself if it will save me close to 400 dollars. I will look into the HID kits by Twiggy for sure. I'll have to check out that link later tonight since i'm a little short on time right now

Hey, I'm not sure if this will help, but i just purchased some projectors with halos around them. I think thats the same thing as the angel eyes. I paid $360 with s/h. Heres the link http://www.autoanything.com/lights/6...0A1868649.aspx

The projectors are nice but everyone who has then says the halos burn out on them because of cheap LEDs. I use the same site in post 4 to make my own Halos. Ive got $20 in my material and my own time. You can do you own headlights easily. I damn sure wouldnt pay someone 500+ to do them. Check my mod link down in my sig and you will see I have HID headlights and fogs in 6000k. I paid about 330 for them from Unique Coating when they were having a group buy last month. The only reason I bought from Chad was because he have a lifetime on everything (bulbs too) and his kits were complete PnP. Those kits on Ebay I was looking at also because they were cheap. Some offered a 2 or 1 year warranty and some offered even less. Plus Ive read SO many threads where people bought kids from Ebay and have had all kids on issues from them.
