Smile I Hated My Hemi Today!!!

Did you ever wish you could put a face to the name Hemi so you could punch it? That is the way I felt today. I know it was not the engines fault of what happened but still. I decided I would put new plugs in my truck today. I went to the store picked me up some plugs, went home and started to put them in. After about an hour and allot of bitchin and swearin I got the last plug in and went in the house to wash my hands. After I cleaned up, I went out to the truck and picked up the plastic bag that the plugs came in and noticed that there was a plug still in there. I figured, "Sweet"! The parts guy must have given me an extra plug. When I bought the plugs the guy handed me 16 individual little spark plug boxes and then He bagged them up. I walked around to the front of the truck and figured Oh what the hell Ill count the old ones just to make sure. There is no way that I could have forgotten to put one in, I am way to smart for that to happen right? WRONG!!! I counted only 15 plugs!!! So now the fun part begins. Which one did I forget to change? Well to make a long story short after pulling out 12 plugs I finally found the culprit. the 4th one in on the drivers side starting from the front, #3 Cylinder. I have done allot of plug changes on these Hemis but this is a first time I have messed up.Anyways if a door to door salesman would have come up to me during this time and introduced himself as Hemi Jones, I would have been thrown in jail for aggravated assault, for I would have punched him square in the face...

I feel better now...

Well the reason for two per cylinder is a more efficient burn of the fuel, but it doesn't really give us any improvement, you'd think that it would boost our mpgs a little bit.

ill be changing all 16 when the time comes but just for discussion, since 8 fire as normal and the other 8 are for emissions why not just replace the main 8 and leave the emission 8 alone til maybe the next change?

I change mine one at a time, one cy at a time, and I put the old plug back into the new plug box. 16 times..

THe hemi is not a great do it your self engine to work on, can be done but its a pain in the ***, THe 5.3 from GM is verry friendly to work on..
