Exclamation So here's the plan

So here is the plan of attack for the truck.... Over the past few months I have been specifically looking into getting a few appearance mods, I had the hood and front bumper I wanted picked out, found a good body shop to do the paint/prep/fit for them and had a few other things to go a long with the theme of the truck. Well as of right now those purchases have been pushed aside.

Instead here is the new list:

- Either the "Crazy Spartan" Cam - 214/214 w/115LSA, 330-340 RWHP/355-365 RWTQ

OR

-The "Spartan" Cam - 214/218 w/ either a 114LSA or 115LSA(if I can get it made to order), 350-360 RWHP/360-370 RWTQ

- 6.1 springs and rods

- LT Header (not sure which brand just yet)

- Cut-outs

The only thing that I am waiting on right now is some information on the cams and I should have that monday. The main deciding factor on the cam is if I can have the one made with a 115LSA. Supposedly a 115LSA is very similar to the LSA on the stock cam, and because if that it should be tamable using the Superchips programmer and anything lower would need a custom tune through either SCT or Diablo. If the Spartan cam can be made with a 115LSA then that will be the route I take, if not then I will go with the Crazy Spartan. Either way it will make for a fun ride

As for headers I really dont know where to go, I need something that is right around $500 or less, Stainless steel and ceramic coated, so any options you guys can think of let me know.

You could also get a custom grind to your specs and needs...just a thought.

I've thought about that, and after I hear beck from the company that makes the cams I'll figure out what all they can do to make it work. I am set on one of the spartan style cams though. I just need to find a good set of headers under $500 to keep everything in budget.

$410 for the cam and I found a guy around here who has been doing them on rams for a long time and he's gonna charge around $500 for the cam install (including doing the springs and rods)

$500? I would do it. If hes going to install it all, you dont have to worry about the headache, and clean up and everything else, sounds great. He may even warranty HIS work, huh?!

Anyways, sounds like youve got yourself a hell of a build going. What kind of tunes are you going to be running?

Thats the thing if it the guys who make the cam and tunes for it come back and say that the 115LSA can be tamed with the Superchips then thats what it will be tuned with. The guy I have been talking with is about 99% positive that with the 115LSA all I will need is a minor tune which the superchips will be able to handle because it will be very very close to the stock cam LSA.
