Arrow Buy an 08 or an 09?

Well as you can see....i am thinking of selling my 2004 and buying something new...so now i dono what to get... there is this 2008 and has 22,000KM on it and its in a good condition and there is a brand new 09. the problem is that here in Egypt the resale of our trucks is so bad and we lose lots of money. so if im gona get the used 08 then im not gona be losing that much like if i get a brand new 09. i dono what to do. i like both trucks the 08 is good and i like it but the 09 is new and different and please put in mind the 09s in Egypt are quad cabs not crew cabs also no ram box..... i think if i dont make up my mind i will not change the truck at all what do you think ppl? any ideas?

If it was me, I would go for the 09. I just like the look of the new Rams body.

I'd say '08. I wouldn't trade my '08 for an '09. There are things i just like better on my '08. Personal preference I suppose but sounds like you want the '08 for savings. For the money you can save, put that towards a lift, tires....etc....

Depends on the if you get the lifetime powertrain warranty on the 09. If yes, I would go that route over a used 08. Chrysler may survive. It's worth the risk.

well...the 08 has 20" wheels and the 09 has 17". and i guess if chrysler survives then they are going to order the crew cab with the ram box. then i will kill myself and all the owners of the crew cabs hehehe...well i dono thats why im confused. i like both trucks and you are right i am going to save on the 08 but still this is my daily driver. i own mine since 04 till today so i drive alot and use it alot.

You can always swap the wheels out if that is a major sticking point for you.

Buy the '08, then use the saved money to buy some armor for the truck to protect you from the other drivers there in Egypt.
It just depends what it's all worth to you. Mileage versus cost versus body style versus all other personal preferences you can find to pit against each other.

well, if you want to be unique then get the 09 because im sure that not many people have them or you could get the 08 and with the money you save, put some unique mods on it. personally i like the 08s because there is so much aftermarket support for them.
maybe if you showed us some pictures, it would help
