I just put a set of cheap procomp es9000 in the back. It's like I'm not even driving the same truck. I can't believe how crappy the stock shocks were.

I have 6cyl 12 valve cummins diesel. I get excellent fuel mileage. It is in extremely clean shape inside. I use it to tow my 25' Airstream. I have new shocks, new ball joint installed by Dodge Dealer in Grove city Penna and misceleanous and sundry front end parts. However I still have to struggle to keep the truck from meandering down the interstate and it is even more difficult to handle on older roads. I thought I was getting the front end rebuilt however it appears i need to bail out another thousand and I do not have a boat. Have you made any progress with your truck?

Are you getting Death Wobble? If so, you may want to try an aftermarket steering box stabilizer (not to be confused with steering stabilizer) they are not expensive and many with SFA trucks say it fixed them right up...

Had a 98 and a 2001 Ram 2500 with the 8800 lb package. they both had 10 ply tires on them when I got them. Called for 65psi in the tires. First thing I did was drop air down to 40psi and when it came time for new tires I went with a 6 ply. lower air presure and the 6ply made ride a lot smouther.

There are a few things you can do to "soften" the ride of a 3/4 ton truck, problem is, about all of them make your 3/4 to truck basically a 1/2 ton truck when it comes to towing/hauling. If the capacity isn't a big deal then yeah, softer (hydrogen as opposed to nitrogen) shocks, lower weight capacity tires (like a C instead of an E) or even replacing the leafs will all soften the ride...

I had stablizer steering box installed. It helped and drives a little better and worth the money. I still bounce when i hit a pot hole or drive in norther Illinois or Indiana.

I'm a big fan of the nitto highway terrains I put on my truck, good set of 20:25:02 rubber is better than the crap dodge puts on their trucks, air bags and shocks also help.
