truck is throwing a cel p0441
look under your truck just in front of the fuel tank and look at your charcoal canister there should be two hoses on it they re hard plastic with soft rubber ends that are prone to crack and come loose
Hey hey hey! It;s rude to not specify what fixed your problem! I have the exact same code 2 days after I bought the truck from a used dealer.
What was your fix?
So far I replaced my gas cap (easy fix to start with), still have the check engine light on. I know the cap is working because I hear the tank pressure level out when I unscrew the cap to refill. Did it end up being your hoses by the canister? How hard was the fix?
Also how long does it take the check engine light to go out once the fix has been completed? For all I know the gas cap worked, yet the check engine light has not gone out yet.

Standard Programming would say 25-50 ignition cycles, or if you just disconnect the battery and reconnect it, it should go away.
If it comes back then you might have a problem somewhere else in the EVAP system.

Black Ram has it right those hoses crack split and fall off. I had the sme code with no crack so i zip tied them at each end to keep them tight. I did all this after i bought a gas cap to. Also when i got this code it was only when i got cheap gas(walmart).
FInally just got mine resolved yesterday. I took the truck to a friend of mine who has a shop. We looked around the purge solenoid together. I would not believe I did not see the problem! I looked and the bottom line running to the purge solenoid was disconnected at the rubber connector! So he quickly hooked it back up and erased the trouble code. So far the engine light has stayed off. However, from what I understand I may not see the light come back on for at least 50 miles?
Hope that really hope the was the only issue!

Yeah, for that particular code the system has to run a pressure test of sorts, which it only will do under certain conditions which I don't remember off the top of my head, maybe running a certain distance at operating temp or something like that. Sounds like that was probably the problem though. There are quite a few threads around with that code though, most of them can be tracked down eventually, if your code comes back do a search and you will find more suggestions. It comes down to inspecting the whole system line. There should be a diagram floating around somewhere, ill see if i can find it.
