Angry HELP, Quick....installing airaid MIT tube

2008 Ram....installing airaid MIT tube.
I followed the directions, not too bad, although I had to take things apart a few times and put in back on to get it installed correctly.
On the directions it says "Note: The Airaid tube should be flush against throttle body with a gap between the tube and air filter assembly for engine movement." I understand what this means but I can't get it like this. I have the gap at the air filter assembly but the tube does not sit flush with the throttle body. I have taken it off and re-tried several times but I get the same result. The way I have it the tube seems installed very firm at both ends, but I don't want to screw it up if it needs to be flush against the throttle body. On the throttle body side it slides in nice and seems to be 'set' where it is now. I measured and it is in about 1 1/4 inch or a little more, but like I said it seems like it won't go anymore and it seems to be firm where it is.
Is this ok, do I have it installed correctly????????
I was pretty happy with everything until I read the "Note" in the instructions.
I need some help!! I need to get it put back together tonite. Thanks.

Thanks, that is what I needed to hear. I just want to make sure I am doing this correctly.

Have you had any problems with the air sensor? My wires seem a little tight and it pulls down on the sensor. It is a very slight pull and maybe I shouldn't even worry about it.

My sensor wires were tight as well. To be safe, I peeled back the insulation a bit to allow more curvature. Not sure if yours is the same though, being an '08. It should be fine, just dont blast it with a power washer at the car wash!

The wires are not super tight, not even pretty tight, just something I noticed and I am **** about things like that!!
Can I put a small bead of silicone around the sensor or is that a bad idea and I should just leave it alone?
Thanks for all the quick info, now I can sleep tonight!

There is a little bit of play in it so it should be fine.
I drove to work this morning and everything seems good. I will check everything again tonight when I get home but I do believe I should be good to go.
Thanks again.
