Huh? That bad? i guess there's a big difference between the 5.9L and the 5.7L for fuel mileage. I tow my fathers 16ft V-nose landscape trailer and it's just about 6k all loaded up with equiptment. I get a steady 10mpgs highway or city don't matter. I think the highway isn't any better because it's a huge wind barrier...lol It's a tandem axle and I wanna say overall length is 20ft and I think it's 9.5' or 10' high

yes. Big difference across the board. My dad records about 18-20-22 highway MPG depending on cruise or not and speed. I'm lucky to get 15-18 highway with my V6, 12 city. The wedge motors are all torque and no mileage..the hemi was kinda of a compromise i think.

are you kidding?
thats nothing, you wont have any problem at all
i have a 99' with the same motor,and
iv towed a 28 ft , 6500 lbs camper, and a full load of firewood in the box
probably about 800lbs easy
going up steep hills to camp 160 miles away

and i was fine
so id say you will be fine with your little tiny lite load
