Towing ?
Alright I have a 2002 Ram QC/SB it has the 360 in it.. My question how hard will it be to haul a trailor with 2 quads and in the bed I'll have one too. I don't think it will be to much of a problem...how much extra strain would be on the motor with that weight there...I know the one going into the bed weighs about 250 and i'm going to say the other two are least 300 each..my plans are to get a SC tuner..will that help any? and i was going to get a cai and duel exhaust if that helps...where i'm going is a about a 80 mile trip to my camp in the mountains..i know my dad's avalanche has no problems and i wouldn't think this would either...i'm more worried about gas milage..
Shouldn't be a problem. Your towing capacity is probably in the 6,000# - 7,000# range. Man, that already thirsty SOB is gonna really suck it down, though. I'd bet it won't do much better than 8mpg.
I know I have a totally diff engine, but when I pull my Empty dump trailer that weighs 2600#'s. I barely feel it back there. My father has an '02 F-150 with the 5.4L triton that is more comparable. He tows it just fine. He says he can feel it but it's really nothing.
Gas mileage. I haven't dropped below 9mpg's even pulling 8,000lbs with my hemi and 3:92 gears. that will be your biggest downfall. Prairie gears.

I've done two on a trailer many times, big trailer too. A dual axle we use to haul around a huge Kubota tractor. You hardly feel it back there. So a 600# ATV added to the bed should not be bad at all. Even though the Hemi's HP numbers are well above your 5.9 Magnum, the torque numbers are really very close.
The Superchips has HUGE gains on a 5.9, that mod should be a no brainer...

Get the Tuner you will love it. It will also help the tranny shift better. We all know how bad the Tranny's in our trucks are. I tow a 4000lb boat and I am adding the Tuner CAI and a host of other stuff just for the fun of it but it will definetley help with towing. As for gas Mileage forget it the 360 is the thirstiest motor dodge made. Don't plan on getting anything over 10mpg.
I pull a 7000# travel trailer with mine...you shouldn't have any problems! Gas mileage will suck! I'm around 7-9 mpg when pulling.
