Default Hrs on 07 5.9

I was told by the dealer at one point that the truck keeps track of the hrs as well as the miledge dose anyone know how you check the hrs on a 07 5.9L !

On my 04 it said somewhere in the manual how to do it. I think you have to do something with the odometer while the truck is off and it will display the hours. If you have the manual it should be in there.

Hours on mine (07) are on the overhead console - same place as the compass, temp, etc.

From memory; ignition off, hold the trip reset button in, ignition on. Keep the trip reset held in for 6 seconds or so.

Sorry.. that's for the Hemi. The 5.9 might be the same.

Hours are really only important on Diesels where guys keep them running constantly in the cold weather.
My overhead console has a time keeper, but i can reset it at any time.
