Yea I am going over to my friend's place hes got a volt meter and drives an 07 ram. Maybe we can solve this tomorrow.... always some issues with buying a used truck....

As for the turn signals, it really seems like a bad fuse, ground wire, or lack of current getting to them. Start at the tailights and work your way forward with the voltmeter checking for 12v. There is also a turn signal solenoid (usually next to the brake solenoid) so you could test it also.
I believe your hitting the nail on the head when i bought the truck today they said they recently replaced the battery because it died.... so I guess its a ground wire somewhere...
I'll check it out....

As for the clicking.... i stated above in park pressing the brake i hear a click and i can see the solenoid? but its missing a tab and missing the connetion piece it looks like....

Cool Grounding

Well, let me start by saying that I'm not a mechanic, however I do wire emergency vehicles for a living. I can tell you that loosing a ground will sometimes cause electrical devices to find a ground through something else that should not be used as a gound. We usually call this a "Back Feed" around here but I've also heard people refer to it as a "Ground Loop". Either way, I beleive you have lost a gound and the lights are somehow grounding through something else which is why your switch does nothing. You may never find what they are grounding through with the millions of wires in a truck but it's important that you find the missing (Bad) ground. I dont think that I would focus on the brake switch problem until I find the ground issue, as a lost ground can cause some very strange problems that tend to pull you away from the actually issue. I've spent all day on a police car once only to find that one little 18 gauge wire had broken from a gound lug. I would never have imagined that it would have caused the problem that it caused. So I would start there. Hope this helps. Good Luck
