Default Winch hook up factory

I just got a smoking deal on a Dodge Warn 12,000 winch and need to know how to hook it up. It has a 2 pin GM weather pac connector that I think has to hook up some way to not kill battery. There is an orange wire and a black wire. Where do they hook up? It came off a 06 Power wagon I was told.

Thanks but I have that picture. I does not show the two small wires in the weather pack connector.

What two small wires are you talking about? That's the same installation manual that came with mine and the wiring diagram shows everything my Warn has.
Maybe if you can take a pic...

Or call Warn on Tues. I just calkled them last week because I thought I have found a Warm winch and needed to know the bolt pattern on it but it turns out it was a damn military surplus winch that you cannot get parts for AND was a 24v winch. But my point is that you can call them and get someone live.

That's for an external charger. You don't have to use it. Warn gets 3x's as much for the connectors as a trucking place would. Just have to make sure you need a 20/30/50amp connector???? Anderson Connector is the name. Do a search.

Also, 12,000lbs, are you planning on beefing up your alternator at all? You certainly won't see that kind of power or anything close if you have a stock alternator! just a heads up.

I did not need 12,000 lbs but I could not pass the deal. I read where it is a safety to keep you from running the battery dead. I will get some pictures. I figured some one on hear would have one already mounted.

Just keep your truck running while you use it and you'll be fine, but you own't get as much power as if you upgraded your alternator. The power output at 12 volts is much less than at running 14.4v
