i've been looking at exhausts for my '08 1500 and have been wondering what the stock diameter is on the exhaust pipe. i've looked at magnaflow exhaust and they state the exhaust has a 3" pipe, while other brand state it has a 2 1/2" pipe. what's the deal? anyway, i would also like to know which exhaust would sound best with mds, even though i have it turned off through my tuner. help please and thanks.

I just ordered a magnaflow muffler for my 2008.
part # 12589, 5x11x22, 3" si/so, center in/offset out. I am hoping this will be a good muffler, not too loud with little drone. I have read alot of info and this muffler seems to be the best for what I want.

 

I ordered 3" as well, but i am going header back.
