Does anyone know if or when they are putting the 6.1 into the ram? Will they be putting it into the 1500? How about the Heavy Duty Rams and the Power Wagon?

 

as far as i know, it will debut as a '06 model year option. Will appear in these vehicles:

All heady Duty Pickups
Most vehicles that were avaliable with the 5.9L (which it is replacing)
Select Jeep vehicles
300C (maybe..not sure)
magnum (maybe?)

It's replacing the 5.9L 360 engine and is a step higher than the 5.7L HEMI.

 

will they be srt-8 rams? I would rather have to old R/T on my Truck

 

I'm not sure on that, I doubt it though, since it's replacing the 5.9L 360 motor. Could be though.

 

theres to 5.9s tho the desiel and the gas



i heard it was only gonna be avilible in the rams 2500 and 3500 but would be in the 300C and magnum srt8

I thought the 6.1L would only be available in the 2500 and heavier trucks.

 

I thought they would do that as good as the hemi is i alway thought it was a little small for the heavy duty trucks. they shpuld keep the 5.7 in the 1500 and put the 6.1 and diesel strictly for the heavy duty trucks.
