anything bigger that a 12 would be a ****** to fit under the back seat.
it really depends on the music you listen to .
country/hard rock you will be fine with a 10'' sub
anything rap or rap like you need a 12" cause the long bass tones that cant be handled by a lil 10" and it wont sound as good

the only thing i would use an 8" sub for is maybe my computer speaker setup.

i know that rockford fozgate had a special 12" they make for the little boxes where air space is a concern. they are supposed to hit hard! but they are $250 a piece.

i have 2 kicker 10s in box similar and i wanted 12s but the local shop told me i had to either go fiberglass or go 10s because of airspace and the size of the magnets on most 12s. and not move the seat or just go crazy custom i use the back seat so....10s dont hit hard enough for me they are punchy like nim said 12s = long lower bass but im not unhappy cause they sound great but i want more maybe ill upgrade or something.....btw where did u get the bars at i been looking for something to protect mine but havent found something as simple and clean.....
