Thanks for the pictures that helps alot. My biggest diffrence is I have a bumper cover instead of a real bumper to mount the fairlead to. Guess that I must be able to have the fairlead attached solid to the winch somehow? Yours is totaly seprate of your winch and just attached to the bumper correct?

Post up a picture of your bumper Jason. Im not sure what you mean by a cover.

My fairlead is completely separate of my winch. It can be. All it does is guide the line. I took my plasma cutter, and cut out my license plate bracket, and called it good. So I guess it does have to be somewhat stout, because there will be quite a bit of tension on the line when in use.

Keep in mind, the only point where my winch mount is welded to, is to the frame. Not to the bumper, or anything else. Gusset after gusset, after gusset.

Sports have a plastic bumper cover in the front that is wrapped around a bumper support. He will not be able to run his fairlead on his front bumper like yours...

Got it. makes cents... lol

man, let me think about this one...

What I would do it design a backing plate off of your mount. Then bolt the roller fairlead through your bumper to the backing plate. You will end up with four holes in your bumper, but its better than cutting your bumper up when you need to use your winch.

Yeah I am thinking that when I build all the bracketing to hold the winch I will just build a fairlead mounting plate right up behind the bumper cover. looks like it might be a bit tight depending on the winch That I go with. Looks like I might be shoping size more than anything.
