Heres some advice. Get rid of it, and give it to me. If anything, the pod looks great! Make me want to get a pillar pod, and put a clock in it!!!!

You need to decide if you want the sending unit in the pan or on the supply or return line.

I prefer the pan, but I (the trans shop, actually ) have had a horrible time getting the pan back on without leaks.
My trans shop recommended against putting it in the return line because he thinks Dodges are sensitive to the added restriction the T fitting and sensor adds.

I would suggest either a manifold to put in-line with the pressure side of the transmission cooling lines or a new transmission pan with the optional hole for mounting the sending unit. Manifold option is cheaper ~$40...other people may have other suggestions.

The easiest way to do it is to hook it up to the test port right on the tranny, It's already drilled and tapped and it will give you the temp at the valve body. You'll need two addition pieces to do it this way- autometer 3280 1/8 to 1/16 adapter, and an
autometer 2259 temp sender. You can get these through summit for under $30 delivered. The adapter threads right into the test port on your tranny and the new sender will screw right into the adapter. You need the new sender because your existing sender will be too long for the adapter.

I'll bet your local place can get them because they're autometer parts, but they won't be on the shelf.
