When changing the shocks and adding a 2" levelling kit on my 07 ram 1500 4x4 do I need a coil spring compressor or anything like that?

There are no coil springs on your truck just torsion bars!!!

 

Actually there are coil springs on his 07. I have an 05 which has torsion bars, so I am not an expert on the coil springs, but I do think you will need to use compressors.

 

no he has coils and no he doesent need a tool just drop the a-arm slow and they come out
t-bar 's are from 02-05 i bealive

 

What ramhunter1 said. I put a leveling kit on mine and did not use a spring compressor. It kind of sucks putting them back in though. You have to squeeze them with your hands just the slightest bit to get them back in. Like a 1/4".

And you'll need an alignment afterwards.

 

Rubberforg what kind of struts did you use for the front?

See I told you I would get people to answer. Everyone always chimes in when you put some wrong info up...

 

I didn't notice 4X4 in your sig. anywhere. If you don't have a 4x4 then thats why you have coils. The t-bars were only on the 4 wheel drives.

 

So if I got this right there is no front strut that I can use with a 2" levelling kit other than the Rancho Quiklift.
